About Dr. Matt
Dr. Matthew Mayerske (pronounced May-er-skee, but you can just call him Dr. Matt ) is an Indiana born native claiming Pittsburg, KS as his hometown. After graduating from St.Mary’s-Colgan in 1990, he attended Pittsburg State University for undergraduate work and received his B.S. degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry, Physical Science and Accounting in 1995. He completed his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He is proud to be a Gorilla and a Wildcat. He served in the US Army Veterinary Corps just post 9/11 until 2005.
After his Active Duty service, he immediately went to work at an established veterinary clinic in the Prairie Village area for 7years. Entrepreneurial in spirit, in 2010 Dr. Matt decided to take his show on the road with Elite Animal Care. He practiced mobile veterinary care to area residents in the Johnson County area and served as the Veterinarian of Record for The Pet Ranch until 2017. At this time, his concierge-like practice won out and encompassed 100% of his professional practice skill and attention. He later returned to brick and mortar practice and became a partner/owner of Arbor Creek Animal Hospital in 2021. After dissolving that partnership in 2025, Dr. Mayerske was overcome with joy to resume his veterinary concierge-like service full-time, and he decided to hit the road once again.
Now, Dr. Matt's expert and convenient services are once again available to his clients on the fly.
Dr. Matt and his wife Jackie are happy to provide care and service to the KC area once again on a full-time basis. He does have clinic support at a local practice so that if that level of care becomes necessary, he can accommodate and see patients there as well.
